Mervyn's was a mid-scale department store that sold apparel and household goods. They were loose and fun, and their copy reflected that.

Editorial Marketing
Big brands have the luxury of producing magazine style marketing pieces. CPWM had a quarterly magazine and eBay had seasonal mailers.

Bus Enclosures
Part of the Cost Plus World Market Chicago opening was large bus enclosure adverts. In them, I gave Chicagoans a taste of the worldly but practical nature of CPWM.
